Ramiro Davaro-Comas: Foes and Bros

Posted April 14 2015
Ramiro Davaro-Comas will be exhibiting Bros and Foes, a new watercolor series with over 30 new works at FOE Store and Gallery on Friday April 10th from 7-10, as part of the Northampton Art Walk. Bros and Foes is a tale that follows a community of societal misfits looming in ghostly worlds often caught in unexpected situations. The soft watercolor paint and brushstrokes are contrasted by the striking expression of impending trouble-making on the face of each one of these Bros and Foes. Each work is a snapshot, "a day in the life" of these anatomically awkward protagonists. Gentle Cavemen, Radioactive Squirrels and Cycling Hotdogs are all just a small part of this insane amalgamation of characters.
Originally from Buenos Aires Argentina, Ramiro is currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. He has been dedicating his time to different creative projects such as outdoor public works, paintings for upcoming exhibitions and the self publication of numerous zines and books, including the sought after children's book, Manimal Friends.
